I recently heartbeated (see what I did there?!) that sometimes we do not always appreciate all the great things going on in our houses as we are so busy dealing with issues as they occur.

Therefore – I have decided to post a few more things that I trust will be an encouragement to ALL within the Servants family. Although I am the fortunate recipient of the following messages I trust that we will all be encouraged by the following words.

Metal Matt (v 2.0) lives at Hamer. The healthy transformation that has occurred in his life in recent times is quite mind-boggling. All of a sudden he is in not living in a pigsty of a room, not drinking, doing some voluntary work and generally seriously getting his shit together. He sent the following sms to me today:

‘Matty – I live, contribute, create, love and experience joy on a daily basis more than I used 2 in an entire month! I love living here, I love the other residents like members of my own family – it’s like living in a college dorm 4 adults! God bless. Metal Matt (v 2.0)’

And this from a Romana reso, Marcus, who has his own ups and downs:

‘I thank you and Servants for everything you have done for me. If it wasn’t for you I would be out on the street. I believe in what Servants is about and thank God for you and an organization that really cares.’

I hope you are all as encouraged by these as I am.
